THE GOLDEN RULE

If symptoms return during any step, stop immediately. Drop back to the previous successful stage for 24 hours before attempting to progress again.

RED FLAGS (Seek Emergency Care)

Repeated vomiting, worsening headache, slurred speech, one pupil larger than the other, seizures, or loss of consciousness.

Note: This is for informational purposes and does not replace the advice of a medical professional. Brain metabolism can take 22–30 days to fully recover.

Your Recovery Rules

Progress > Perfection

Small consistent steps forward matter more than big leaps.

Mild symptoms are okay

Slight symptom increases during activity are normal. Big spikes are not.

Big setbacks = Adjust, not quit

If symptoms flare, drop back a stage. Don't stop entirely.

You are rebuilding — not waiting

Active recovery means doing the right things at the right time.

Recovery Timeline

Days 1-2

Relative Rest

Limit screens and cognitive load. Short walks if symptoms stable.

Days 3-7

Active Recovery Begins

Light cardio below symptom threshold. Multimodal assessment.

Week 2

Physiological Loading

BCTT to determine HR threshold. Prescribed aerobic exercise. Targeted rehab.

Week 3

Return to Function

Full cognitive loading. Non-contact drills. Physical exertion testing.

Week 4+

Return to Sport

Contact practice. Full medical clearance required. Baseline re-testing.

Remember

Consistency today creates the results you want tomorrow.

You are stronger than you think — and you are not alone.
